Shelly Simmons, Jr.,
Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Mr. Simmons brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years in Medical and Medical Device including Sales, Business Development and Management. Throughout his career, his focus has been identifying various avenues to promote sales growth within an organization. While with DePuy Spine from 2003 to 2011, he was instrumental in growing the distributorship from $5mm to $19mm in sales. Notably, during this time, he negotiated the first regional contract with Ascension which later evolved into a national agreement. Later, Mr. Simmons helped manage the transition from a distributor to direct model, responsible for bringing the two sales forces together resulting in his region being recognized as #1 in sales growth post-merger.

Early in his career with Tillotson Healthcare, he partnered with their distribution network implementing a contracting system that resulted in six consecutive years of growth. Since joining Amendia in March of 2016, Mr. Simmons has built the Contracting Team focusing on Strategic Accounts and GPOs as a vehicle to promote sales growth.

Mr. Simmons is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BS in Communications.
