Carol Hammell joined Amendia in June 2016 as Director of Human Resources, where she is responsible for building, developing and expanding the Human Resources capability to drive best in class employee engagement, performance and productivity. Carol brings nearly 30 years of legal, HR, and compliance experience in various service industries, notably in the manufacturing, distribution, hospitality and logistics space. Before Amendia, Carol spent over 21 years in private law practice (labor & employment) as partner (Constangy Brooks Smith; Stokes & Murphy - now Stokes Roberts Wagner) and senior in-house corporate roles (United Steelworkers of America; Fleming Companies; SunTrust Bank). Carol transitioned away from law practice in 2007 to focus primarily on Human Resources and has since held lead HR roles for business divisions of international corporations such as Nippon Express and WestRock Company.
Carol holds an undergraduate degree from Loyola University of Chicago in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Carol also holds senior HR certifications from the Society for Human Resources Management. (SPHR, Jan. 2009; SHRM-SCP, Dec. 2015), and is a licensed Georgia attorney.
